2001-06-29 - 11:53 p.m. Well, Wednesday night was our ¨Farewell Dinner¨. We ate at a really nice restaurant (I will add in the name when I find it!). I was somewhat sad though because I ordered some type of steak and asked for it to be well done and it was bright pink in the middle. It was mooing at me! Anyhow, enough on that... The restaurant was nice and we enjoyed just hanging out together. Dr. Naharro gave small presents to all the teachers who assisted in the program. It was kind of sad because he told us all this was his last year to do the program, and he has been doing it since he started it in 1989. The classes have been sooooo demanding at times, but all in all I have really enjoyed them and have learned so much within such a short period of time. Today, it was all about the pool. We went to a really nice city pool. It was only 500 pesetas for the entire day, which is something like $2.50. Not bad! It was a great day to go cause it is starting to get hotter here (unfortunately!). The pool was so cold that we didn´t actually stay in the pool the whole time. I spent most of the time with my feet in the water reading a book. It was wonderful! Tonight I went to a really good pizzaria with Allison. We stopped off at Mango before eating and I bought a really cute shirt that is sparkly!!! Then we came here to check our email. Not too much going on today, but it was a well-welcomed rest!! Tomorrow I am going to the Tren de las Fresas, which takes us to a palace in Aranjuez. It should be really neat... I guess I will find out! More later!
