2001-05-28 - 4:33 p.m. Well, the first day of class was today. I am kind of nervous about the class since I didn´t understand all of what he said. I think it is going to be rough. We are reading something like 3 novels plus all these handouts ... so much! And we have to do a presentation on one of the books and watch the movies for the three books. We have to contrast the books and the movies in our presentation. We only have one test, and it is 40% of our grade. It is kind of different that there are only 2 people in the class, including myself. I went to Corte Inglés today. That is a big store here which has a little of everything. It was huge!! I went to buy some notebooks for class. They had tons of clothes as well as everything you would want for your house.
Tonight a bunch of us are meeting at 9:30 at a cafe to hang out. It is supposedly across from a neat park area in town. I´m excited to see somewhere else. I´ve primarily been around my house and then around the Institute. Tomorrow we are going to two museums... and Wednesday we have a day trip to Toledo. So much is going on! I think we are going to Barcelona next weekend. That should be interesting since none of us speak Catalan!
