2001-07-08 - 1:24 p.m. Itīs time for my last entry... how sad!! Itīs weird to think this is my last day in Madrid after being here for so long. Part of me is excited about returning home to my family, friends, my boyfriend, etc. but at the same time, I am going to miss everything I have become accustomed to here. I know if I return to Spain, it will never be quite the same. Itīs been such an awesome experience though... We returned to the Rastro one last time today. I finally found my canvas painting of Madrid. It wasnīt the cheapest, but I havenīt seen it anywhere else in Madrid and it was exactly what I wanted. It was a wonderful oil painting of Plaza Mayor. I canīt wait to see it on my wall. I also bought a small Real Madrid sticker to put in my album/scrapbook. I am about to try to find a stand for my fan at Corte Inglés. Later this afternoon we are going to the Botanical Garden and then to the Retiro. Well, I am off!
